On April 21, 2026, Equip for Equality presented their Special Education 101 workshop at Portage Park Elementary. Attorneys RenƩ Valenzuela and Martha Rubin walked families through the fundamentals of IEPs, 504 plans, parent rights, the evaluation process, and how to advocate for your child.
